This local spot has been around for years, but I only recently stumbled upon it this summer, and it quickly became my go-to for a casual night out. What originally caught my eye was their huge, mostly-covered patio, which used to be their parking lot. I use the term "dive" lovingly when I describe this joint. The interior is cozy, but there is plenty of space to distance outdoors, even if it's raining. They have a full bar selection including a handful of craft beers on draft, and they offer buckets, too.
If you're a Chicago sports fan, you can trust that they'll have the game on one of their bar TVs. They have a pool table, but I can't guarantee you can play it at the moment with current restrictions.
If you're hungry, they have a hefty pub grub menu of apps, sammiches, burgers and sausages. Their small-but-able staff are friendly veterans of the service industry to whom I willingly give my money. They also take covid restrictions seriously, so make sure you're following the rules! (Which, you know, you should be doing anyway.) Cheers!
