The Sixth is many things, but mostly it is underrated, understated and perfect for dates. Well, it's usually understated, but right now they're featuring a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! pop-up. This satisfies both my inner child and outer "adult" with inflatable animals, movie paraphernalia, clever cocktails and snacks served in toy trucks. This is running through November 1, so go check it out!

Pop-ups aside, this bar is a class act. They have a large, varied selection of spirits, an inventive cocktail list and excellent service. Whether you order your own mixed drink or one of their creations, you made the right decision. If you aren't especially learned in the realm of mixology or spirits, no matter. Your server or bartender will guide you with no judgements or snarky eye rolls. I also appreciate this spot because you won't look out-of-place whether you're dressed to the nines or coming straight from work.
And speaking of service, it's on point. Our interactions with the host, bartender and server were all top notch. Even though the visual vibe is chic and posh, the staff are easy-going, funny and helpful.
Side note: their sister bar/restaurant is Roots Pizza next door, so if you need more sustenance after your stay, you can keep it in the family.
