Dip and Sip Donuts~Roscoe Village, Chicago

I liken myself to Homer Simpson when it comes to my passion for doughnuts. It's my favorite sweet treat, and anyone who knows me also knows this little bit of trivia. It is definitely no secret. While a simple, glazed yeast ring is my go-to, I'll happily indulge in an old fashioned, cruller, frosted long john, sugar twist–who am I kidding? I'll eat any form of fried dough.

When I first visited Dip and Sip, I wasn't familiar with their concept or specialty. I picked this doughnut shop because it was not only new to me but also to Chicago. When I arrived, I was greeted by two incredibly kind and personable employees who helped me navigate through their options. What's unique about this place is that you can customize your doughnut toppings. While they have several varieties already prepared (which is the route I went since my time was limited), you can also create your own concoction of whatever you want. Pink frosting with bacon and sprinkles? Consider it done. Yes, pink is a flavor!

I ordered a cold brew to-go as well, which was delicious, but that's no surprise as they serve coffee from local Chicago roaster Metropolis. With my hands full, one of the staffers kindly opened the door for me to send me on my merry, doughnut-eating way. The service alone makes me a repeat customer, but also, you know...DOUGHNUTS!
